Tacx fortius in all, I found my Tacx was darn good training for a trip to the Dolomites this last summer. Your email address will not be published. All of us can tacx fortius stand 1 hour on a conventional trainer. A native of California, Thien also enjoys tinkering with photography and discovering new music.
Firmware update for:- Bushido Smart (T2780)- Vortex Smart (T2180)- Neo (T2800)- Genius Multiplayer smart (T2010)- Genius smart (T2080)- Ironman smart (T2060)- Flow smart (T2240)- Flux smart (T2900)- Flux S smart (T2900S)- Flux 2 smart (T2950)- Neo bike smart (T8000)Use the Tacx Utility app to upgrade your Smart trainer to the latest firmware. Spideray.me, TACX with ZwiftThis smart trainer is great so I don’t know what all the negative feedback is for? Using a simple firmware download from the app on your iPhone to your powered up trainer, if required will sort out most problems. It will reboot when the green light is flashing and it’s ready to use, simply open up Zwift and pair using the controllable setting when found this may take around 30 seconds it will automatically connect the virtual speed, power and cadence. For those who wonder how the Speed, Power and Cadence are measured from the absence of a speed/cadence sensor, both are estimated from the pulses of your pedalling using the Smart ANT+ FE-C protocol. You may need to calibrate the magnetic brake however this is also very simple using the TACX software. Rogue Dalek, Can’t CalibrateI’ve got a Vortex trainer which successfully pairs with this app.
I’ve not had to do a firmware update yet though, so can only hope that I don’t get the problems other people have experienced. So why the 1 star review? I can connect the Vortex to this app on my phone every time without problem. As I pedal the app will show me my power, speed and cadence from the trainer.
Then I go to calibrate and all I get is the “Start Pedalling” message. It doesn’t matter how long I pedal for, how fast or how slow, still the same message. How can the same app which can clearly pick up not only the fact that I’m pedalling, but also how fast and how powerfully in one part be unable to do so in another part?So I’ve got a turbo trainer that I’m unable to calibrate which therefore gives me meaningless data. Cccphil, Oh dear.
Not againMy son and I bought Fortius trainers years ago - didn’t work, replaced head unit on both, motor on one, power-back on the other and they eventually worked. Bought TTS4 - didn’t work, wouldn’t connect, multiple crashes on both machines, weeks of sodding about with Tacx support and the forum. Foolishly bought two new Genius trainers.
Worked until we foolishly (again) used this app to update the firmware. Now nothing works on my machine and we’re terrified of trying it on my sons.SORT YOURSELVES OUT TACX. Any other software developer would be sued, gone bankrupt or just collapsed. I don’t know how you get away with it😡.
Would be good to add support for this device in much the same way we support Computrainers.

Tacx Fortius Support
Initial support for Tacx Fortius devices.
Note this requires libusb support to be present and will
work on Linux, Mac and Windows.
The handlebar buttons up/down will increase/decrease the
load/intensity in a similar fashion to the +/- keys on
the Computrainer controller.
The cancel button will stop a workout and the enter key
is used to mark a lap.
Slope and Ergo modes are supported, but we do not set the
brake at all if the speed is below 10kph, this is to
ensure it does not get burnt out when users 'grind'.
SPECIAL NOTE:
The Fortius handlebar controller is a Ez-Usb device
and requires firmware to be loaded when it is connected.
Since this is copyrighted by Tacx BV we do not distribute
it, instead, when the user sets up a Fortius device they
must also provide the file. Full instructions on how this
should be done are given when configuring the device.
Additionally, for Linux users udev rules should be added to
ensure that the USB devices are accessible to non-root users.
Fixes #538.
