I am trying to get OSX to boot from on a Asus P8H61-M Pro motherboard without success. I also cannot boot my Windows paritions.The motherboard has been flashed to BIOS version 4802. Capture nx 1.3.1 for mac.

I have an Asus Nvidia Geforce 210 graphics card which I purchased recently and works very well with Yosemite out of the box. I have to hard drives, one with the original Windows setup and have added a second drive for OSX.I have created an El Capitan install USB drive using the UniBeast tool from tonymacx86. Initially I used the UEFI only option, but since this did not work, I re-built it using the legacy option.Here is a description of the Clover issues:.When booting from a UEFI partition (whether on USB or the OSX HDD) the mouse does not work.

The pointer appears but it will not move. Keyboard navigation works fine though. When booting from the legacy partition of the USB drive however, the mouse pointer works Ok. I have checked with CloverConfigurator to ensure that the mouse is enabled so this appears to be a driver issue? My keyboard and mouse are plugged into USB2.0 ports and I have tried truning USB3.0 support off on the board.

It made no difference.Cannot boot any Windows partitions. I have two disk drives. The original drive contains an Windows 7, Windows 10 and a Data partition all formatted using NTFS and using the MBR scheme. Both versions of Windows appear to be booted from the BCD bootloader on the Windows 7 partition. All three partitions appear in the Clover boot loader, but selecting either of the Windows partitions just shows a flashing cursor in the top left of the display. This has been a considerable learning curve. Although I started with the Clover installer packaged by tonymacx86, I also tried the most up-to-date official Clover r3292 installer package. I discovered that OsxAptioFixDrv-64 works better than OsxAptioFix2-64. I have copied the mouse driver over from Drivers64 to Drivers64UEFI. I have also downloaded and copied in an NTFS.EFI for Clover. I have also tried all sorts of settings using CloverConfigurator. Although results were mixed, fundamentally I can't get past the above problems.One of the key points I feel is whether this motherboard supports UEFI booting properly?

Or is there some difference between the legacy boot method and the UEFI one that prevents the boot process from functioning properly? I ask this because I could find no setting to select between UEFI boot or BIOS boot. However, on system startup, if I press the F8 key to bring up the boot device selector, both MBR and UEFI partitions are listed as possible options and I can select a UEFI partition and boot into Clover, which suggests that the board does support UEFI booting, and the problem is somewhere within Clover and the UEFI version of the EFI drivers.I am hoping that someone here can help. Update:The good news is that I have finally solved number 3 - booting into El Capitan via UEFI. The problem turned out to be twofold:. OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi needed to be replaced with OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi. FakeSMC and NullCPUManagement kexts needed to be in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 and 10.10I also noticed that the the autodetection on the graphics card shows 2 ports, whereas the card actually has 3 so I changed it to 3.

In the end, this didn't actually make any difference to whether it booted or not so I'm not sure whether to just leave it at 2?The first two issues (1) mouse frozen, (2) booting Windows still exist. I have simply disabled the mouse for now, but would still like to know whether it is possible to get it working. More importantly though, it would be good to be able to boot the Windows partitions.
