Page 8Note:- Set the Stylus pressure to the maximum recommendedvalue for your cartridge in cases where the record has anextremely high recording level, or where the unit isoperated in a room at low temperature, or in places inwhich the unit is subjected to vibrations.Adjustment of anti-skating controlSet the anti»skating control knob to the same value as thestylus pressure. (See Fig.13,)Note:- When a cartridge with integral dust brush is used, followthe cartridge manufacturer's recommendation for adjusting both stylus pressure and anti-skating force.Adjustment of arm-lift height(See Fig. The arm»lift height distance between the stylus tip andrecord surface when cueing knob is at “v' has been ad-justed at the factory before shipping to approximately 5to 10 mm.a For using different cartridges available on the market orwhen further adjustments are particularly necessary, make adjustment as follows:4. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclock-wise, while pushing the arm lift down. 14.)Clockwise rotation— distance between the record and stylus tip is re-duced.Counterclockwise rotation—- distance between the record and stylus tip is in-creased.Note:a As the adjusting screw has a hexagonal head, be sure tomake the adjustment while depressing the arm lift, orthe screw will not move freely. Also be sure that thehexagonal head retracts correctly into the arm lift whenthe latter is released.Speed adjustment (with pitch control knobs)Strobe dots are set on the rim of the turntable platteraccording to the powerline frequency and the speed of therecords. Make adjustment, referring to strobedot indica»tion.1.
Place a record on the turntable mat.2. Set the speed select knob to the speed to be adjusted.3. Adjust the speed while playing a record,The strobei luminator/pilot lamp will be lit for illumina-ting the strobe dots.4. While turning the pitch control knobs either to ”+“ sideor '—' side, adjust so that the strobe dots of the turn-table platter look as if they were stationary. The stateunder which the strobe dots seem to be stationaryrepresents the correct number of revolutions.' Version history for cyberduck for mac.
+' directionThis increases the speed of the turntable rotation, and thestrobe dot pattern seems to flow in the same direction asthe rotational direction of the turntable platter.”—' directionThis decreases the speed of the turntable rotation, resultingin a state opposite to that in the '+' direction.Note:Strobe dot patternThe strobe-illuminator/pilot lamp of this unit employs thecommercially available power source. The frequency ofsuch power source, when actually measured, has a fluctu-ation of about 0.2%. As such a fluctuation of the powersource affects the strobe illuminator, the strobe dot patternalso seems to fluctuate to a certain extent. But the unit is not affected by these fluctuations of thepower source, since a DC motor is employed. In otherwords, rotation of the platter will be constant, and slightshifts in the movement of the dots simply reflect normaldrift in the power-source frequency.Adjustment for automatic start and return positionsShould the tonearm not function correctly, make adjust-ments according to the following procedures.Adjustment for automatic start position(Remove the rubber cap.)In cases where the stylus tip descends outside of the record-Rotate clockwise.in cases where the stylus tip descends onto halfway of arecorded piece—Rotate counterclokwise.
